A primary concern for any company adopting new technology is how well it will integrate with existing platforms. To make it easier for companies to start using EventBoard, we’ve made sure our product works within the Microsoft Office 365 environment, including the Outlook calendar.

We’ve created a painless integration process so there’s no need for our users to drastically change the processes established throughout their organization in order to use our product, too.

The EventBoard platform sits on top of existing email and calendar systems to provide seamless meeting room scheduling, visually striking conference room displays, and powerful workplace analytics to show how your space is being used.

For example, if you use Outlook for your conference room calendars, we can integrate with that system. There’s no need to manage multiple calendars and, therefore, no headaches. In fact, EventBoard integrates so smoothly with Office 365 that the process is nearly invisible to most users, allowing them to easily view conference room availability in real time, as they’re scheduling their meetings.

It doesn’t matter whether you use Microsoft’s cloud service (shared tenant) or a dedicated server solution. EventBoard works with either arrangement. You might picture EventBoard as a layer on top of what you already know and use – a layer that provides improved meeting and conference room scheduling and thus fewer hassles in your day-to-day work life.

While explaining how EventBoard integrates with Office 365, we often have to dispel a common misconception regarding the functionality between Outlook and Office 365. Outlook is a mail client (your individual mailbox), whereas Office 365 is a mail server (kind of like the post office). Because EventBoard reads the calendars from both Office 365 and Exchange, you can book your meetings and do everything just like you always do with Outlook, and that information flows through to EventBoard.

Our goal at EventBoard is to make it easier for you to get work done, and do it in a way that doesn’t require you to reinvent your business processes. We’ve done that with Microsoft Office 365.

We also integrate with Google Apps and LiquidSpace; other integrations are in the works.
