In the EventBoard iOS 2.8.17 release, we changed how devices are authenticated. In the past, devices were tied to the specific user that deployed EventBoard within the organization, which became problematic in situations when that user left the organization. In hindsight that was a silly way to do it, so we’ve made it better. As of this update, the device authentication process no longer ties the device to a specific user, which means that service will no longer be interrupted when roles change and people move around. This update applies to both new and existing devices.
