Location Administrators allow larger organizations to set permissions at the building level, so you can give access to one user to make changes to your deployment in Building A, without giving them access to the entire deployment. This feature is meant for large organizations that have multiple buildings and need to compartmentalize access to the Teem deployment.

First, you’ll need to create a group and assign members. You can do this by navigating to teem.com, clicking on Manage>Users>Groups & Permissions you then click on the yellow + Group button on the right side of the screen.

Once you created the group give the “edit deployment” permission to your new group:

Go to the building you’d like to assign the admin group to, click on the details button to the right of the building name, and assign the group as a location admin:

Note: Global admins (set on the users page here: https://app.teem.com/manage/#/users) have access to edit all deployments. Once this feature is enabled, any other users must have the “edit deployment” group permission set, and that group must be assigned to all buildings you’d like that user to administer. If, when selecting a group as a location admin, the group has a line through it, this means that the permission of “edit deployment” was not added to the group (see image below)
